The Bloggers Ball 2016

Where do I begin with The Bloggers Ball 2016? It is going to be really hard to capture the essence of this event I think as it was one of those ‘you had to be there’ events in my opinion. To sum up for you before I go into further detail, it was crazy, big, wonderful and addictive! So many bloggers and brands, so many bodies and booths to visit, I imagine it was something similar to speed dating but on steroids, and I still didn’t get to visit everyone and see everything! I’m going to talk about my favs that I did get to see and of course I have to shout out to Scarlett London for organising this grandeur affair at DSTRKT London!

Selfie Glow

Selfie Glow are are cute company just perfect for bloggers who love a good tan! Cruelty and paraben free, these guys were the first exhibitors I visited. They are US based but making their way over to the UK market this year. I hope I can work with this lovely brand soon while we have some sun in London!

Fei Liu Jewellery

Fei Liu jewellery really caught my eye. I love the elegant design of his pieces and I am still after something signature to wear on my wedding day. Fei Liu really stood out to me and the sparkle was just lovely!

Bon Prix

I’m sure you have all heard of the longstanding brand Bon Prix. They had brought with them a few of their summer collection essentials which were fabulous! Definitely check out their site if you’re going on holiday or just feel you need to jazz up your summer wardrobe, I’m sure they will have you covered!

Bloggers Ball 2016-2

Bravura London

Bravura London are a new find for me. It was great to meet them at The Bloggers Ball 2016 and talk about their different products meant for different types of skin. I chose to trial the Glycolic acid for its abilities to reduce fine lines and breakouts.

Bloggers Ball 2016-3

Monin

I’m sure you’ve all had a taste of what Monin has to offer, whether you know it or not. Monin provide the syrups for Costa coffee, so those caramel lattes and hazelnut mochas are all down to this great brand. On the day, they had brought with them a lovely pitcher of lemonade which was fantastic. I didn’t know how many syrups they did until I saw the range at the Bloggers Ball- check out their site to discover all the amazing flavours, they have practically everything!

Bloggers Ball 2016-4

On The Beach

On The Beach are an online travel agency who aim to deliver great holidays at great rates. They were there on the day to meet us bloggers and also have a beach party too! There were plenty of selfies taken at their booth and the OTB team were such great fun! Really hoping to take an On The Beach holiday if the wedding budget allows this year!

Vatika Naturals

Vatika are another new brand I discovered at The Bloggers Ball 2016 and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been using the Argan Shampoo pictured below since the event and it’s honestly the best shampoo I’ve ever used. Not only does it smell amazing, it creates a fabulous lather without using half the bottle, and my hair comes away feeling so nourished my hair is like silk. Definitely recommended, and I can’t wait to try out their Black seed hair mask! Available at Superdrug.

Bloggers Ball 2016-8

Tessuti

The last brand (and the most fabulous by far) is Tessuti. They are an online luxury boutique who stock both men and women’s ranges. I was immediately drawn to these guys as soon as I saw the Melissa shoes- you kow how much of a Melissa shoe collector I am! I’m really excited to be working with Tessuti after meeting them at The Bloggers Ball 2016 so stay tuned this month to see what piece I’m styling up from Tessuti.co.uk!

For more content and to find out about a fabulous fizzy drinks company called Karma Cola, click here.

Drink No Evil Karma Cola

I was immediately drawn to Karma Cola drinks not just for their great design, but also because of the story that goes with the brand. Drink No Evil Karma Cola is all about doing good and enjoying some great drinks in the process. The brand currently has three amazing beverages for all walks of life, and I am in love with all of them! Let me tell you a bit more about them…

DSC_0254

The Karma Cola foundation aims to produce fizzy drinks which stand for a cause. Every drink purchased helps a village in Sierra Leone, Africa and the proceeds help to support a number of Sierra Leonean communities by maintaining local areas to sending young people to school.

Flavour 1- The original Karma Cola

This is made from a cola nut (yes cola comes from a nut!) all the way from Sierra Leone. It has a unique blend including ginger and lemons which makes for a thirst quenching delight.

Flavour 2- Lemony!

This is a great mix of organic lemons and fair-trade sugar cane which makes the farmers smile. It makes its drinkers smile too as the lemon bursts out and hits all those taste buds.

Flavour 3- Gingerella

Gingerella is perfect for those wanting a fiery taste. It is quite strong and bursting with notes of vanilla and ginger.

Pour and Enjoy!

Here are some more shots courtesy of my sister Evie. You should get in touch with her here if you are needing a blogger photoshoot! She captured the drinks in action, which I’m sure you agree look so tempting during the hot summer season! We chilled the drinks before pouring each for a clean and refreshing taste…

So good in more ways than one- don’t forget that the more drinks Karma Cola sells, the more help they can do! Why not join the Drink no Evil Karma Cola campaign and host a great BBQ with some amazing drinks for July?! These drinks are available to purchase at Waitrose right now

The Dubai Series: Travel Essentials

Today’s Tuesday, and on Tuesdays we do travel essentials! Take a look at what I took with me to the airport in part two of The Dubai Series: Travel Essentials

The Dubai Series- saharasplash-6
Just Bee drinks were my drink of choice for the journey to the airport. I couldn’t take it through security with me, but the green tea and lemon gave me just what I needed for the tube journey to Heathrow Terminal 5. The honey infused water is so refreshing, Just Bee are the perfect travel essential for a thirst quenching pick me up.

As a coeliac, I’m always looking for new snacks that are easy to carry around in my handbag. I was looking to take something easy along with me for the plane, and something tasty…
Snact are a wonderful company which I have blogged about before this year. They are 100% fruit and so naturally gluten free and vegan too. I took their brand new flavour with me-  apple, blueberry and banana which was amazing.
store-packshot-blueberry
Next up for those sweet cravings are the wonderful Cocoalibre. These are a new brand I have just discovered, and just in time for my travel essentials! Also gluten free and vegan, this chocolate is super luxurious and was such a sweet treat high up in the sky! Cocoalibre comes in beautiful packaging and they really do go the extra mile for allergy sufferers with their chocolates.

Of course we all know that your skin can suffer on longer fllights due to the change in pressue and the oxygen quality. So in my bag I had the perfect thing…
The Timeless Truth Travel Pack! This cute little travel pack is the real deal if you’re after a bit of pampering as you travel. The pack comes with three compartments, a makeup remover wipe, a cleanser and then a fibre mask. Timeless Truth think of it all with this star item!

TT tavel pack

Next up is another brand new discovery from Alpha-H. I took their marvelous Absolute eye cream with me on board as this realy helps to reduce dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. I find that my eyes can get very puffy during a flight, so Alpha-H came to my resue!

The Dubai Series- saharasplash-99

The last item on my list is something which I never knew you could take on a plane. This is Batiste dry shampoo. Of course, it has to be a travel size can, but this made my day when I found out I could take this little gem with me! I took the tropical spray with coconut scent.

My Event-full week at Icebar London

I have never had a more exciting week as the week just gone. I managed to get to 5 amazing events around London and I’m here to start the event-full week off with a sub-zero experience. My Monday night kicked off at the famous Icebar London. I had been looking forward to this event for months ever since Lauren (@Blonde_Vision) started organising this. I’m sure if you check out the hashtag ‘bloggersbelowzero’ on Twitter you will find so many wonderful bloggers who joined me on this night of thrills and literal chills!

Luisa and I met up at the Icebar just off Oxford Circus for 6.30, and got straight to mingling with friendly faces new and familiar- the blogging community is so lovely I feel like after a twenty minute chat with a complete stranger we are happy and already following each other on Instagram! I got to meet Lauren who was responsible for the event, and also there on the night was Tom, Sales and Marketing Manager from Icebar London who gave us a welcome warm enough to fight the cold later on! We were put into groups and had a fabulous time chatting to each other while we waited to head on upstairs to the icebar itself.

I wasn’t prepared for how cold it would actually be! I was in the last group of the night to go in, and we were given a massive protective poncho with fluffy hood and gloves to wear. I felt like a real live Eskimo!

We were dressed and ready to go in, so through the tunnel we went and came out the other side into an icy fortress. Ice was everywhere, you wanted to look, touch and take it all in, it was beautiful and breathtaking. I’m not exaggerating- my breath was visible!

The theme throughout from the sculptures around us to the drinks at the bar was rock- look how insane this setup is and it is all 100% crafted from ice!!

After spending as much time as I possibly could working my way round the room, I made it to the bar and ordered a Whole Lotta Rosie which was made with bourbon- perfect to give you a little warmth while in the icebar!

The glasses were pure ice as well, super cold but super yummy! After a few more pics and snapchats, I got out of there as my hands were starting to seize up on me! It was totally worth it though, and once you are out the rest of the building warms you up straight away. I don’t want to say too much about the experience, I want you to go and discover it for yourself…

Icebar London_-5

The Icebar London is the perfect alternative event to spend a romantic date this Valentine’s Day and it’s a great activity to do with a group of friends too. If you haven’t been it’s right near Oxford Circus, so what are you waiting for, book your visit here!

I want to thank Lauren and Tom for organising such a wonderful event together, #bloggersbelowzero will definitely go down as one of the coolest blogging events I’ve been to! (I couldn’t resist that haha)

While you’re here, why not check out something awesome and gluten free? Kent and Fraser have just the thing!
