Best Bras at six months

I’ve heard a lot of pregnancy announcements this past month from personal friends as well as on social media. I’m sure you have noticed a pregnancy bug going round in the blogging industry! Falling pregnant at the start of this year means that while many are entering their second trimester, I am now starting my third. I guess this works in my favour slightly, and so I wanted to do a helpful blog post for those mamas to be out there! This post is all about the best bras at six months.

Seamless Nursing bra in Silver Belle

Bravado is an award winning brand specialising in maternity and nursing bras. These bras are designed to go from bump to baby and are so comfy. At 18 weeks I was measured as a 32DD bra size, which is a size S on the Bravado sizing chart for this bra.

Monogrammed Leggings by Dharmabums

Bravado have designed their bras with a clip system so that it’s easy to detach when breast feeding. I love the colour range in this bra, there are so many to choose from!

Sweet Pea Nursing bra in Pink Lemonade

Usually pink is not my go to bra choice, but this just jumped out at me and looked so fabulous. I’m wearing a 34 B/C here which fits just right!

Again with the magic straps, this bra is so supportive without having the uncomfy underwire as my bump now reaches higher up my torso. I think it looks like an Easter egg if you look at my bump face on!

Price: £26

Hunkemöller

Ava Padded non underwired bra in Grey

This next set isn’t a specific maternity set, but don’t be put off in buying non-specific maternity bras when brands like Hunkemöller can provide! I adore this set from their non underwired range.

Ava Bra: £25 (size 32D)

Ava Brazilian Brief: £12 (size M)

The detailing is stunning and makes me feel like I’m still stylish- all mums to be shouldn’t have to compromise on underwear when buying the best bras at six months or at any stage. Find exciting brands that work with your new shape and help you to feel great about your body.

I hope this has helped a few of you out who are struggling to find bras whatever stage you are at in pregnancy. Would love to hear your stories in the comments below if you are having trouble, or if you have already tried these particular bras out.

Quiz Lost in Summer Party

As time goes on in my pregnancy, I’m having to be very strict about which events I attend. Days spent rushing around London to get to five press meetings in one day are now a thing of the past. But when this invite came through my door, I was definitely going! Celebrating the relaunch of their Westfield Stratford store, here is what happened at the Quiz Lost in Summer Party.

Quiz were amazing to send out pieces from their new collection inspired by all things summer to their guests so we could wear and share on the night of the party. The dress I’m wearing is the Stone Bardot Double Frill Bodycon (now on sale for just £14.99) and it fit bump and I perfectly!

I always love seeing a sexy shoe display! There are so many shoes I’m loving from Quiz this season.

My hand is always on my lower back these days! You can see the Braid Bar behind me doing their magic on the press and bloggers. The drinks bar sorted out a wonderful mocktail for me!

My eyes caught this cute suede clutch (above) on display at the Quiz Lost in Summer Party- imagine this with matching suede mules!!!

I spy my ‘Paularazzi!’ doing a great job as always.

Live models were on display throughout the night in the shop window. Looking super fresh in the new Lost in Summer collection!

We had the lovely Amber Turner from TOWIE cut the ribbon to the newly opened store. After the cheers subsided, we all piled back into the store for more fun, drinks and shopping!

Thank you so much to Quiz for a memorable summer night! Shop the whole Lost in Summer range here as well as Occasion Dresses.

Quick dash to Dubai

I know what you’re thinking, why do a quick dash to a place like Dubai? If you’ve seen my previous posts on Dubai (here) from last year, you will know that we have friends out there who we visit each year. The reason for our three day quick dash to Dubai is mainly down to Paul and the fact that he simply won’t take the time off work. I’m cool with having a mini break, and seeing as this was the first time travelling while pregnant (18 weeks at this point) I was glad to get home pretty quickly.

I think that also because we have done Dubai before, we have seen the sights and got the t shirt so to speak. So this visit was all about seeing our friends, having a great few days with some nice weather and putting our feet up.

The jetlag didn’t really bother us too much, we decided to go business class, primarily because I knew that being uncomfy while pregnant was not a good idea. We could relax and enjoy the flight a lot more this way. I did have a little travel sickness just before we landed, but I’m blaming the baby for that one as it’s never happened before!

I was super excited to take my new travel wallet * with me from Fabriano’s Boutique:

It stores all your important documents and I fell in love with this item as soon as I saw it in the Marylebone store.

Day One

The kids were so happy to see us when they finished school, of course Paul took the majority of the leaps and hugs!

I took my ritual trip to get a mani pedi on day one of our quick dash to Dubai and went for blue nails. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and soaking up the beautiful sunshine.

Dress: Christian Audigier

Bikini: Asos

A trip to the local pool was a must too. This bikini was the only one that would fit me from my previous collection, so I bought a blue one just before we left from the TU dept at Sainsburys (shown in day two).

Day Two

Day two we headed to the beach at JBR. This was really nostalgic as pretty much 12 months before we were here and getting engaged! It was great to be back now married.

We went for breakfast at the Cheesecake Factory, another ritual of ours, before heading out into the late morning for some photos. My pantsuit is again from TU by Sainsburys and the beach bag* (Positano) is from Fabriano Boutique. I just loved the bright colours and sizeable straps- the perfect beach bag!

Announcing my pregnancy with a beach shoot was a dream come true. At this point I had waited long enough to announce it on social media and it came as a nice surprise to my Twitter and Instagram followers.

Bikini by TU from Sainsbury’s (which I must note now at 23 weeks no longer fits!)

Paul is wearing a gorgeous palm print swimming short* from Jacamo. I have to say when I was approached to style Paul up for the Dubai trip in Jacamo I was so excited. All of Paul’s outfits were chosen by me and he was reluctant to rock the palm print at first…

We match so well! Couples do still do this right?! I think he truly loved them.

Day Three

Day three we decided to take it easy and go shopping- total relaxation for me! We picked up quite a few things for the baby which I’ll share with you in my Dubai vlog coming soon.

I have no idea where this dress is from I must tell you, it’s my cousins and she bought it years ago in Miami. It’s one of my favs, plus it still fits!

Paul and I were reluctant to leave Dubai, it’s fast becoming our home away from home.

Shirt*: Jacamo

Chinos*: Jacamo

I hope you all are having a great summer 2017 so far. Let me know where you’ve been or where you are planning to go next. As for me, I’m fully grounded as we patiently await for the new arrival!
